Terms of Service

BudgetYid builds technologies and services that enable people to connect with each other, build communities, and grow businesses. These Terms govern your use of BudgetYid, and the other products, features, apps, services, technologies, and software we offer (the BudgetYid Products or Products), except where we expressly state that separate terms (and not these) apply. These Products are provided to you by BudgetYid Platforms, Inc.

We do not charge you for using BudgetYid or other products and services covered by these Terms, unless we specify otherwise. Instead, other businesses and organizations and people pay us to show you ads for their products and services. By using our products, you agree that we can show you ads that we think may be relevant to you and your interests. We use your personal data to help determine which personalized ads to show you.

We don't sell your personal data to advertisers, and we don't share information that directly identifies you (such as your name, email address, or other contact details) with advertisers unless you've given us specific permission. Instead, advertisers can tell us things like audience type that they want their ads to be seen, and we show those ads to people who might be interested in them. We provide advertisers with reports on the performance of their ads that help them understand how people interact with their content. The Privacy Policy explains how we collect your personal data and use it to determine which ads you will see and to provide all the other services described below. You can also access your settings at any time on the pages of the relevant BudgetYid product to review the privacy settings you have chosen about how we use your data.

  • 1. The services we provide

    Our mission is to empower people to build communities and unite the world. To help promote this goal, we provide you with the products and services described below:

    • Provide a personalized experience for you:

      Your BudgetYid experience is unlike anyone else's: from the posts, stories, events, ads and other content you see in the BudgetYid news feed or on our video platform, to the BudgetYid pages you follow and other features BudgetYid may use, such as the BudgetYid Marketplace and search. For example, we use data about the connections you make, the choices and settings you choose, and the things you share and do in and outside of our products, all to personalize your experience.

    • Connect you with people and organizations you care about:

      We help you find and connect with people, groups, businesses, organizations and other entities that matter to you across all the BudgetYid products you use. We use data to make suggestions to you and others - for example, groups to join, events to attend, BudgetYid pages to follow or message, shows to watch and people to befriend. Stronger connections foster better communities, and we believe our services are especially useful when people are connected to the people, groups and organizations that matter to them.

    • Empower you to express yourself and communicate about what matters to you:

      There are many ways to use BudgetYid to communicate with friends, family, and others about issues that are important to you. For example, sharing status updates, photos, videos and stories in a variety of BudgetYid products (depending on your settings), sending messages or making voice calls or video calls with a friend or with several people, creating events or groups, or adding content to your profile as well as displaying insights about how where others engage with your content. We've also developed, and continue to explore, new ways people can use technology, such as augmented reality and 360 videos, to create and share more expressive and engaging content on BudgetYid products.

    • Help you discover content, products, and services that may interest you:

      We show you personalized ads, offers, and other sponsored or commercial content to help you discover content, products, and services offered by the many businesses and organizations that use Facebook and other Meta products. Section 2 below explains this in more detail.

    • Promote the safety, security, and integrity of our services,combat harmful conduct and keep our community of users safe

      People will only build a community on BudgetYid products if they feel safe and secure. We work hard to maintain the security (including the availability, authenticity, integrity and confidentiality) of our products and services. We employ dedicated teams worldwide, work with external service providers, partners and other relevant parties and develop advanced technical systems to identify potential misuse of our products, harmful behavior towards others and situations where we may be able to help support or protect our community, including to respond to user reports our on potentially infringing content. If we become aware of such content or behavior, we may take appropriate action based on our assessment, which may include - sending you a message, offering help, removing content, disabling or blocking access to certain features, disabling an account, or contacting law enforcement authorities. We share data with other BudgetYid companies when we detect misuse or harmful behavior by someone using one of our products, or to help keep BudgetYid products, users and the community safe. For example, we share information with BudgetYid companies that provide financial products and services to help them promote safety, security and fairness in addition to complying with applicable law. BudgetYid may access, retain, use and share any information it collects about you when it believes in good faith that the law requires or permits it. For more information, see our privacy policy.     • Use and develop advanced technologies to provide safe and functional services for everyone:

      We use and develop advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence, machine learning systems and augmented reality so that people can use our products with confidence regardless of physical ability or geographic location. For example, such technology helps visually impaired people understand what or who appears in photos or videos that people share on Facebook or Instagram. We are also building sophisticated networking and communications technology to help more people connect to the Internet in areas where access is limited. And we develop automated systems to improve our ability to identify and remove offensive and dangerous activity that could harm the community and the integrity of our products.

    • Research ways to make our services better:

      We engage in research to develop, test and improve our products. This includes analyzing the data we have about our users and understanding how people use our products, for example by conducting surveys and testing and troubleshooting new features. Our privacy policy explains how we use data to support this research for the purposes of developing and improving our services.

    • Provide consistent and seamless experiences across the BudgetYid Company Products:

      Our products help you find and connect with people, groups, businesses, organizations and other factors that matter to you. We design our systems so that your experience is consistent and error-free across all the different BudgetYid products you use. For example, we use data about the people you have BudgetYid engagements with to help you connect with them on Instagram or Messenger, and we allow you to communicate through Messenger with a business you follow on BudgetYid.

    • Ensuring access to our services:

      To operate our global services and enable you to connect with people around the world, we must transfer, store and distribute content and data to our data centers, partners, service providers, resellers and systems around the world, including outside the country where you reside. The use of this global infrastructure is necessary and essential for the provision of our services. This infrastructure may be owned, operated or controlled by BudgetYid Platforms, Inc., BudgetYid Platforms Ireland Limited or their affiliated companies.

  • 2. How our services are funded

    In lieu of paying to use BudgetYid and the other products and services we offer, by using the Headquarters Products covered by these Terms, you agree that we may display to you personalized ads and other commercial and sponsored content that businesses and organizations pay us for. Promote BudgetYid Company products and beyond. We use your personal data, such as information about your activity and interests, to show you personalized ads and sponsored content that may be more relevant to you. Protecting people's privacy is a key element in how we designed our personalized ads system. This means we can show you relevant and useful ads without telling advertisers who you are. We do not sell your personal data. We allow advertisers to tell us things like their business objective, and the type of audience they want to see their ads (for example, people aged 18-35 who like to ride bikes). We then show their ad to people we think might be interested. Additionally, we provide advertisers with reports on their ad performance, which help them understand how people are interacting with their content on and off BudgetYid products. For example, we provide advertisers with general information about demographics and interests to help them better understand their audience, such as the fact that women aged 25 to 34 who live in Madrid and love software engineering viewed an ad. We don't share information that directly identifies you (information like your name or email address that can be used to contact you or to identify who you are) unless you've given us specific permission.   • 3. Your commitments to BudgetYid and our community

    We provide these services to you and others to help advance our mission. In exchange, we need you to make the following commitments:

    • 1. Who can use BudgetYid

      When people stand behind their opinions and actions, our community is safer and more accountable. For this reason, you must:

      • Provide for your account the same name that you use in everyday life.
      • Provide accurate information about yourself.
      • Create only one account (your own) and use it for personal purposes.
      • Not share your password, give access to your BudgetYid account to others, or transfer your account to anyone else (without our permission).

      We try to make BudgetYid broadly available to everyone, but you cannot use BudgetYid if:

      • You are under 13 years old.
      • You are a convicted sex offender.
      • We have previously disabled your account for violations of our Terms, Community Rules, or other terms or policies that apply to your use of BudgetYid. If we have disabled your account for violating our Terms, Community Rules, or other terms or policies, you agree not to create another account without our approval. Acceptance of permission to create a new account is given at our sole discretion, and does not mean nor does it imply that the disciplinary measures were wrong or unjustified.
      • You are prohibited from receiving our products, services, or software under applicable laws.

    • 2. What you can share and do on BudgetYid Products

      We want people to use BudgetYid products to express themselves and to share the content that matters to them, but not at the expense of the safety and well-being of others or the integrity of our community. Therefore, you agree not to behave in the manner described below (or not to allow others to behave in this way or to support others who behave in this way):

      1. You may not use our Products to do or share anything:

        • That violates these Terms, the Community Standards, or other terms and policies that apply to your use of our Products.
        • That is unlawful, misleading, discriminatory or fraudulent (or assists someone else in using our Products in such a way).
        • That you do not own or have the necessary rights to share.

      2. You may not upload viruses or malicious code, use the Services to send spam, or do anything else that could disable, overburden, or impair the proper functioning, integrity, performance, or appearance of our Services, systems, or products.
      3. You may not access data or collect data from our products by automated means (without obtaining permission from us in advance) or attempt to access data that you do not have permission to access.
      4. You may not proxy, request or collect product usernames or passwords, or misuse access tokens.
      5. You may not sell, license or purchase data received from us or our services, except as stated in the Platform Terms.
      6. You may not abuse any reporting, notification, dispute or appeal channel, for example by sending false, duplicate or baseless reports or appeals.

      We may remove or restrict access to content that violates these terms. We can also suspend or disable your account due to behavior that violates these instructions, as set forth in Section 4.B.

      In the event that we remove content you have shared due to a violation of the Community Rules, we will notify you and explain any options you may have to request further review, unless you have seriously or repeatedly violated these Terms or if doing so may expose us or others to legal liability; harm our user community; endanger or interfere with the integrity or operation of any of our services, systems or products; when we are limited due to technical limitations; or where we are prevented from doing so for legal reasons. For information on suspension or termination of an account, see section 4.b below.

      To help support our community, we encourage you to report content or behavior that you believe violates your rights (including intellectual property rights) or our terms and policies, if this feature exists in your jurisdiction.

      We also remove or limit access to content, features, services or information if we determine that such action is necessary and reasonable to prevent or reduce misuse of our services or adverse legal or regulatory impacts on BudgetYid.

  • 3. The permissions you give us

    We need certain permissions from you to provide our services:

    1. Permission to Use Content You Create and Share: Some of the content you share or upload, such as photos or videos, may be protected by intellectual property laws.

      You retain ownership of the intellectual property rights (such as copyrights or trademarks) in all such content that you create and share with BudgetYid and in other BudgetYid products that you use. Nothing in these Terms detracts from your rights in your content. You are free to share your content with anyone else, wherever you want.

      However, in order to provide our services, we need you to grant us certain legal permissions (known as a "license") to use this content. This is intended solely for the purpose of providing and improving our products and services as described in section 1 above.

      Specifically, when you share, post or upload content protected by intellectual property rights on or in connection with our Products, you grant us a non-exclusive, transferable, sublicensable, royalty-free and worldwide license to host, use, distribute, modify, operate, Copy, perform or publicly display, translate your content and create derivative works from it (subject to your privacy and application settings). So, for example, if you share a photo with BudgetYid, you give us permission to store, copy and share it with others (as stated, subject to your settings), such as BudgetYid products or service providers that support those products and services. The license will end when your content is deleted from our systems.

      You can delete certain content that you share, post, and upload at any time. Also, all content posted on your personal account will be deleted if you delete your account. Learn more about how to delete your account. Deleting an account does not automatically delete content you posted as a page administrator or content you created together with other users, for example photos in shared albums that can continue to be visible to other members of the album.

      It may take up to 90 days to delete the content after we have started the process of deleting the account or we have received a request to delete content. If you send content to the trash, the deletion process will automatically begin within 30 days, unless you choose to delete the content earlier. When the deletion process of such content is carried out, the content is no longer visible to other users. After the content is deleted, it may take an additional 90 days to remove it from backups and disaster recovery systems.

      Content will not be deleted within 90 days after the start of the account deletion process or content deletion in the following situations:

      • when others use your content in accordance with this license and they have not deleted it (in which case this license will continue to apply until that content is deleted);
      • When deletion within 90 days is not possible due to technical limitations of our systems, in which case, we will complete the deletion as soon as it is technically possible; or
      • where immediate deletion would restrict our ability to:
        • investigate or detect illegal activity or violations of our terms and policies (for example, to detect or investigate misuse of our products or systems);
        • protect the safety, integrity and security of our products, systems, services, employees and users and to protect ourselves;
        • comply with legal obligations to preserve evidence, including data that BudgetYid companies that provide financial products and services keep to comply with any obligation to keep records as required by law; or
        • to comply with a request from a judicial or administrative authority, law enforcement authority or government agency;

      And in such a case, the content will be kept for a period of time that is no longer than is required for the purposes for which it is kept (the exact period of time will vary according to each individual case).

      In each of the above cases, this license will continue to apply until the content is completely deleted.

    2. Permission to use your name, your profile picture and information about your actions with ads and sponsored or commercial content: You give us permission to use your name, your profile picture and information about actions you have taken on BudgetYid alongside or in connection with ads, offers and other sponsored or commercial content that we display in our range of products , without any compensation to you. For example, we may show your friends that you are interested in a posted event or that you have liked a BudgetYid page created by a brand that has paid us to display their BudgetYid ads. Only people who have received permission from you to see the actions you perform on BudgetYid products will be able to see such ads and content.     3. Permission to update software you download or use: If you download or use our software, you give us permission to download and install updates to the software, where applicable.

  • 4. Limits on using our intellectual property

    If you use content subject to our intellectual property rights that we have made available in our products (eg images, designs, videos or sounds that we provide and that you add to content that you create or share on BudgetYid), we retain all rights in that content (but not in your content). You may use our copyrights or trademarks (or similar marks) only if expressly permitted in the Brand Usage Guidelines or with our prior written permission. You must obtain written permission from us (or permission under an open source license) to modify, translate, compile or reverse engineer our products or their components, to create derivative works from them or to otherwise attempt to extract source code from us, unless exclusions apply or Restrictions pursuant to applicable law or your conduct is related to BudgetYid's debugging program.

  • 4. Additional provisions

  • 1. Updating our Terms

    We are constantly working to improve our services and develop new features that will improve our products and be better for you and our community. As a result, we must update these Terms from time to time to accurately reflect our services and drivers, promote a safe and secure experience with our products and services, and/or to comply with applicable law. We will make any changes only if the instructions are no longer appropriate or if they are incomplete, and only if the changes are reasonable and take into account your interests or if the changes are required for safety and security purposes or to comply with applicable law. We will notify you (for example, by email or through our products) at least 30 days before we make changes to these Terms and give you an opportunity to review them before they become effective, unless the changes are required by law. Once updated Terms become effective, you will be bound by them to the extent that you continue to use our products. We hope you will continue to use our products, but if you do not agree to the updated terms and do not want to continue to be part of the BudgetYid community, you can delete your account at any time.

  • 2. Account suspension or termination

    We want BudgetYid to be a place where people feel welcome and have the confidence to express themselves and share their thoughts and ideas..

    If we determine in our sole discretion that you have clearly, seriously or repeatedly violated our terms or policies, including, in particular, the Community Rules, we may suspend or permanently disable your access to the BudgetYid Company products, and we may permanently suspend or delete your account. We may also suspend or delete your account if you have repeatedly violated other people's intellectual property rights or in the event that we are required to do so for legal reasons.

    We may disable or delete your account if after registration your account is not verified, if it is not in use and remains inactive for an extended period of time, or if we detect that someone else is using it without your permission and we cannot confirm your ownership of the account.     In the event we take such action, we will notify you and explain any option you may have to request a review, unless doing so may expose us or others to legal liability; harm our user community; involve risk or interference with the integrity or operation of any of our services, systems or products; when we are limited due to technical limitations; or where we are prevented from doing so for legal reasons.

    You can get more information about your options if your account has been disabled and how to contact us if you think we've disabled your account in error.

    If you delete your account or if we disable or delete it, this will terminate these Terms as an agreement between you and us, but the following provisions will remain in effect: 3, 4.2-4.5.

  • 3. Limits on liability

    We work hard to provide the best products possible and to provide clear instructions for everyone who uses them. However, our products are provided "as is" and, to the extent permitted by law, we do not guarantee that they will always be safe, secure or error-free, or that they will function without interruption, delay or defect. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we also disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title and non-infringement. We do not control or direct what other people and entities do or say, and we are not responsible for their actions or behavior (online or offline) or the content they share (including offensive, inappropriate, obscene, illegal and other objectionable content).

    We cannot predict in advance when problems related to our products will arise. Accordingly, our liability will be limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall we be liable to you for any loss of profits, revenue, information or data, or for any consequential, special, indirect, punitive or incidental damages arising out of or related to these Terms or the BudgetYid Products (without reference to the manner of their occurrence and according to any theory of liability, including negligence), even if we have received information about the possibility of the occurrence of such damages.

  • 4. Disputes

    We try to provide clear rules so that we can limit or aim to prevent disputes between you and us. However, if a dispute does arise, it is useful to know in advance where it can be resolved and what laws will apply.

    If you are a consumer, the laws of the state in which you reside will apply to any claim, cause or dispute you have against us arising out of or related to these terms or the BudgetYid products, and you may resolve your claim in any recognized court in that state that has jurisdiction over the claim In all other cases, and any claim, cause of action or dispute that BudgetYid brings against you, you and BudgetYid agree that any such claim, cause of action or dispute must be resolved exclusively in the United States in the United States District Court for the Northern District of California or a court of the state located in San Mateo County. You also agree to submit to the personal jurisdiction of each of these courts for the purposes of litigation with respect to such claim, and that the laws of the State of California shall apply to these Terms and any claim, cause of action or dispute, without reference to the provisions of private international law. Without derogating from the foregoing, you agree that, in its sole discretion, BudgetYid may bring any claim, cause of action or dispute that we have against you before any competent court in the country in which you reside that has jurisdiction over the claim.

  • 5. Other

    1. These Terms (formerly the 'Statement of Rights and Responsibilities') constitute the entire agreement between you and BudgetYid Platforms, Inc. regarding your use of our products. They supersede any previous agreement.
    2. Some of the products we offer are also subject to additional conditions. If you use one of these products, the additional terms will be available and will become part of your agreement with us. For example, if you access or use our products for commercial or business purposes, such as buying ads, selling products, developing apps, managing a group or page for your business or using our measurement services, you must agree to our commercial terms. If you post or share content that contains music, you must follow our music guidelines. If any Supplemental Terms conflict with these Terms, the Supplemental Terms shall govern to the extent of the conflict.
    3. If any part of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the unenforceable part will be deemed amended to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, and if unenforceable, then it will be severed and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect. If we fail to enforce any term of these Terms, this will not be considered a waiver. Any change to these conditions or waiver of part of them must be made in writing and include our signature.
    4. You may not transfer any of your rights or obligations under these Terms to anyone else without our consent.
    5. You may appoint a person (called a Perpetuation Contact) to manage your account if the account is perpetuated. If you've enabled this in your settings, only your memorialization contact or a person you've identified in a valid will or similar legal document with express consent to disclose your content to that person in the event of your death or incapacity will be able to request limited disclosure of information from your account after your memorialization.
    6. These terms do not grant any beneficiary rights to a third party. We may freely assign all of our rights and obligations under these terms in the event of a merger, purchase or sale of assets, either by law or otherwise.
    7. We may change your account username in certain circumstances (for example, if someone else requests the username and the username appears to be unrelated to the name you use in everyday life).
    8. We always appreciate your feedback and other suggestions about our products and services. However, we may use the feedback and other suggestions without any restriction or obligation to compensate you, and we have no obligation to keep them confidential.
    9. We reserve all rights not expressly granted to you.

  • 5. Other terms and policies that may apply to you

    • Community Rules: These guidelines detail our rules regarding the content you post on BudgetYid and your activity on BudgetYid and other BudgetYid products.
    • Commercial Terms: These Terms apply if you access or use our products for any commercial or business purpose as well, including advertising, running an application on our platform, using our measurement services, managing a group or page for a business or selling products or services.
    • Terms for Community Payments: These terms apply to payments made within or our products.
    • Trading Policy: These guidelines detail the policies that apply when you offer products or services for sale on BudgetYid.
    • Music Guidelines: These guidelines detail the policies that apply if you post or share content that contains music on any BudgetYid product.
    • Advertising Policy: This policy applies to partners who advertise on a variety of BudgetYid products and specifies what types of ad content are allowed for partners who advertise on the various BudgetYid products.
    • Self-Service Advertising Terms: These Terms apply when you use the Self-Service Advertising Interfaces to create, submit or display advertising or other types of commercial or sponsored activity or content.
    • Page, Group and Event Policies: These guidelines apply if you create or manage a BudgetYid page, group or event, or if you use BudgetYid to communicate or manage a promotion.
    • BudgetYid Platform Policy: These Terms apply to the use of a set of APIs, SDKs, tools, plug-ins, code, technology, content and services that enable others to develop functionality, retrieve data from BudgetYid products, or provide data to us.
    • Terms for Developer Payments: These terms apply to app developers who use BudgetYid payments.
    • BudgetYid Brand Resources: These guidelines detail the policies that apply to the use of BudgetYid trademarks, logos, and screenshots.
    • Recommendation Guidelines: The BudgetYid Recommendation Guidelines and Instagram Recommendation Guidelines describe our standards for recommending or not recommending content.
    • Live Broadcast Policy: This policy applies to any live broadcast of BudgetYid Content.
